Today we will be hering from Kelsey Stedman who is a Public Health Nurse for the Kitsap Public Health District, and will be talking abount Kitsap Connect.

Kitsap Connect is a collective impact partnership designed to provide intensive, innovative, and collaborative services to the highest utilizers of costly community resources who suffer from mental health and substance use disorders.

Our service delivery models are evidence based and are considered national best practices and include the principles of Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Housing First, and Trauma-informed Care.

Our multidisciplinary team members are supported by a generous Kitsap County 1/10th of 1% sales tax grant and are contracted through the Kitsap Public Health District, Kitsap Mental Health Services, and Kitsap Community Resources, in partnership with The Salvation Army, the Bremerton Housing Authority, CHI/Harrison Hospitals, Law Enforcement and EMS, and community-wide social service providers.

The mission of Kitsap Connect is to decrease the severe and persistent suffering of those most vulnerable in our community while reducing the overuse of costly care systems.

Our shared vision includes a thriving community with improved efficiency and coordination between community providers, and improved health through more consistent behavioral health and preventative care for our clients.
